Drawing was always Sadaf's number one interest as a child but she also loved music, dance, fashion and theatre as a teenager. Her passion for art lead her to start studying art at an Art High School when she was 14. After high school, she became an art teacher in primary schools and junior high schools at the age of 18. During the same time she continued studying in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Tehran University and graduated with a Bachelor of Graphic Design. Working as a art teacher with children inspired her to write her dissertation about the importance of colour in children's book illustrations. She also experienced acting in two roles at the University of Tehran Theatre Performance. After graduating, Sadaf started working as a graphic designer and technical & artistic supervisor for print in her own graphic studio under the name "Gira Graphics”. She continued Instructing the Basic Design Workshop, Plastic Arts Foundation in Art Schools, for more than 16 years.
Not limited to her graphic design and illustration work, Sadaf's accomplishments also include individual and group exhibits of her drawings in Iran and the USA. And, as a writer, she has developed a strong following for her written short stories in Farsi (Persian) over the last few years.
Sadaf performs Persian folklore songs and she has a passion for interior decoration as well.
She now works as a graphic designer and illustrator in Toronto.
When she's not working in her studio, Sadaf is decorating her place, listening to her favorite music, traveling or shopping!
